ILAMS' new 'Echoes Festival' got off to a spectacular start at St John's Smith Square on 2nd November with a packed house in attendance to hear Helen Glaisher-Hernández and the Latin Classical Chamber Orchestra performing 'Goyescas': Music in the Time of Goya.
Ateş Orga described the event in Classical Source as 'an enterprising, well-attended occasion, with food for thought and sounds to provoke'. Audience members also sent in the following messages:
'An outstanding evening on every level and at every stage of the performance! Superbly selected programme and excellently illustrated souvenir programme, too. What a thrill to be at SJSS again for such memorable evening - thank you!' (Tessa Tesic)
'Wow - what an evening. A most amazing concert. ...Everything was so engaging. Thanks so much!' (Rita & Emma Ferris-Taylor)
