From the 27-28th April Helen will be realizing one of her lifelong ambitions: to work with the great Cuban composer and guitarist, Leo Brouwer, who will make his first appearance at the guitarrísimo series organised by Helen for ILAMS in collaboration with the Instituto Cervantes.
This special edition of guitarrísimo will encompass two days of public masterclasses, as well as a talk featuring Leo Brouwer in conversation with the illustrious guitarrist John Williams, and the pre-eminent composer Stephen Goss, and a concert of works by Brouwer performed by a host of young artists, including Ahmed Dickinson and the UK's orchestra of the moment, Chineke!
